A “survivors-like” game where the player must dodge endless waves of enemies and shoot them out of orbit. Controls are simple: direction and speed of travel are controlled by cursor position on the screen. The game takes place on a 3d sphere with various particle systems for clouds, aurora, explosions, etc. and screen shake effects for impact and destruction. Projectiles fired continue on their path when they miss, a hazard to the player. Item power-ups have inertia of the enemy that dropped them. A dark side of the planet reduces the visibility of the player and approaching threats.
An alternate version uses Kepler’s laws of orbital mechanics to drive gameplay. The player ship has the ability to adjust the orbital ellipse to match or approach orbital debris, and a focusing solar beam, when in sight of the star, can ablate the targeted debris until it disappears. The debris health and orbit appears when scanned in line of sight of the player.
